ActGreen
ActGreen at UIUC began in November of 2013 when three brilliant minds came together in the Business Instructional Facility (BIF) Atrium in Champaign, IL. Since then, we have become a Clinton Global Initiative University commitment and a registered student organization at UIUC.
Our mission is to increase undergraduate business students' understanding of the connection between their business area of interest and environmental sustainability. We create educational programming and workshops to empower the next generation of global business leaders.

Undergraduate students will be exposed to various perspectives regarding the
importance of environmentalism and sustainability in real-world corporations.
Our panels include thought-provoking leaders ranging from graduate student

ActGreen UIUC incorporates educational programming for undergraduate students
throughout the school year. We have multiple monthly events including visiting sustainable
companies, speaking with established pannelists, hosting student workshops, watching documentaries, and working with other environmental/sustainability student organizations
on campus and in the surrounding Champaign-Urbana area.

When our members graduate and start their professional careers, they are equipped with the knowledge and resources to influence the companies they work for to be more environmentally conscious. By attending weekly meetings and the annual Green Business Summit, students have a variety of opportunities to learn about sustainable business practices and how they will help solve issues in the world today and be financially beneficial to both companies and clients. This will create a widespread community of people with a common passion to help the environment and preserve our resources.
